Over the past four years, companies have played a critically important role in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Last year's ISAP session introduced efforts that companies have made to integrate SDGs into their core business, focusing on partnerships that can support SDG implementation. This year’s ISAP session on SDGs and business will focus on diversity and inclusion – the core principles of the SDGs. One of the keys to promoting company approaches to SDGs is diversity management, and the session will introduce various initiatives that different types of businesses have adopted to promote diversity management. The session will also discuss each of these initiatives, looking at their purpose, success factors and challenges, as well as the policy support needed to both advance diversity management and achieve environmental goals (via links with the Regional Circular and Ecological Sphere). Through these discussions, the session will explore the forms of diversity management that are in line with the principles of SDGs.
